Updates on April screenings coming tonight!

It’s a rainy Monday, but that doesn’t dampen our excitement at the great film we have coming up here in Lowell during the month of April! Now that we’re back from our NYC trip, we’re getting geared up for several events, including the 2010 Lowell Film Festival (April 8-10) and next weekend’s Marx Brothers Revue (April 2, 3 and 5), both taking place in the next TWO WEEKS. Also coming in April will be the premiere of River Cycle: The Concord in Lowell, directed by local filmmaker and UML professor Chad Montrie.

We saw some excellent independent film this weekend at NYC’s MoMA and the IFC Center, both of which offered totally different cinematic experiences. It’s invigorating and inspirational to be around fellow film buffs — let’s just say we’re feeling quite renewed! Upon our arrival home last night, we screened an amazing local film called The Way We Get By, which we hope to show here for Memorial Day.

Stay tuned for news on that event and many others coming up in the next couple of months — we’ll be updating our website TONIGHT.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
