LFC Update!

Thanks to everyone who came out on Tuesday, October 21 for the screening of The Greening of Southie and the informative panel discussion that followed. We had a great turnout and the film was well-received – intriguing with just enough humor courtesy of the structure’s building crew. This weekend, we will host a screening of Africa Unite, featuring opening remarks by UMass Lowell Professor Oliver Ibe, who was born and raised in Nigeria.

Brett and Suzzanne Cromwell of the LFC appeared on the Sunrise talk show on WUML Thursday morning (Oct. 23) to promote the “Music On Film” series, and we will post a link to the podcast of that interview when it’s available. In the meantime, we hope to see on Sunday, November 2, at 5 p.m. at O’Leary Library on the UMass Lowell South Campus. We will screen Tom Dowd & The Language of Music, followed by a Q&A with none other than Dowd’s daughter, Dana Dowd.
