National Park Day OUTDOOR Screening – This Tuesday, August 25!

National Park DayThe moment the LFC has been waiting for is finally here! In recognition of National Park Day (Tuesday, August 25) and the release of Ken Burns’ newest documentary The National Parks: America’s Best Idea, Lowell National Historical Park will be screening an evening film program dedicated to the National Park Service — Lowell National Historical Park in particular.

The evening program will include:

  • Film short segments from Ken Burns’ Untold Stories Project;
  • Film trailers from Lowell’s Young Producers Project, featuring clips from film shorts produced and directed by local youth on their experiences growing up in an urban National Park;
  • A screening of Past, Present, and Future, a locally produced film celebrating Lowell National Park’s 30th anniversary.

The event is FREE and open to the public — bring your beach blankets, lawn chairs, and lucky charms for perfect summer weather.
