6 PM: Fire truck, Lowell Police Department’s K-9 unit, & family activities onsite
8 PM – film screening
Ladies and gentlemen, the summer is in full swing, and no one is more excited about it than the Lowell Film Collaborative, mainly because we are finally putting together some great outdoor screenings for movie buffs in the Lowell area. Out first event is taking place thanks to a partnership with the Lower Highlands Neighborhood Group, the Lowell Alliance for Families and Neighborhoods, the Lowell Police Department, Chelmsford Telemedia, Target Stores, and the Lowell Green Team. It’s a screening of the beloved Steven Spielberg family classic E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, an event we are hosting as an official part of National Night Out.
The festivities will take place on Tuesday, August 3, right outside on the lawn and spacious parking lot of the Morey Elementary School on Pine Street in the Highlands. It’s also more than just a film screening – starting at 6 p.m., there will be a fire truck for kids to explore, the Lowell Police Department’s K-9 team, and more fun activities for kids (and kids at heart!) Be sure to bring your chairs or blankets to enjoy the E.T. screening, which starts around 8 p.m. If you have questions about the event, please contact Heddi Nieuwsma at 508-572-7023 or via e-mail at lowerhighlands01851@gmail.com. We hope you can join us and our partners for this very special summertime, neighborhood event!
