Food and film go hand in hand. This is why comercial theater concession stands get away with outrageous prices on snacks and drinks. And who can resist “Babette’s Feast,” “Like Water for Chocolate,” or “Eat Drink Man Woman?” We appreciate the desire to enjoy a nibble and a flick with fellow film-goers, and with any luck, local Lowell restaurants & cafes will happily work with us. It’s already being done here in Lowell to some degree (check out upcoming flicks at Mickey Doyles). But we at the LFC would like to kick it up a notch. We’ll unveil the details as they unfold, but for now, entertain the idea of hitting your favorite Lowell food stop for a prix fix menu and an accompanying flick. First on our list? Think Greek.
We’ll keep you posted as the LFC works to bring guerilla screenings to Lowell eateries.
