We’re not as big into social media as we should be, given the fun we have with our screenings and all the great people we meet. We should change our tune, as our discovery of local and indie film comes to us primarily from our humble Twitter and Facebook pages, and we are THANKFUL. Such was the case with Joy and the Apocalypse, which has its theatrical premiere at Red River Theatres in Concord, NH, on Saturday, February 5 at 3PM. Shot in the Boston area and locally produced, JATA will also have a television premiere on February 12 at 12PM (EST) courtesy of MyTV New England.
It’s always a pleasure to support independent film, and if it’s got New England ties, all the better. View the intriguing synopsis and learn more about Joy and the Apocalypse at JoyandtheApocalypse.com, and if you’re free this Saturday afternoon, we encourage you to head up to the marvelous Red River Theatres in Concord — they’re an impressive bunch of film-loving folks who adore what they do.

Just an update to the premiere on MyTV. Joy and the Apocalypse will air Saturday, Feb. 12 at 8:00PM. TV Guide and other scheduling services may still reflect the original time slot and are in the process of being updated. Thanks!
Thanks for the update, Andrew. And congrats on the new time slot.
I was at the screening in Concord last weekend. I was the guy in the back who asked the question about filming in Boston and asked the cast to talk about their acting history and how they became involved with the project.
The film was excellent. Perhaps we can arrange a Lowell screening(?)
