We had such a great time bringing the award-winning documentary Food, Inc. to Lowell’s Life Alive Cafe this past November that we’re hot on the trail of planning a series of films that will continue to bring the timely topic of food production and consumption to the masses. We’re excited to partner once again with Life Alive, New Entry Sustainable Farming Project & WorldPEAS CSA for an Agricultural Film Series that will showcase the importance of healthy eating, supporting local growers, and savoring delicious, freshly harvested ‘food from the land.’
The newest film added to our list is the sumptuous documentary Good Food, filmed entirely in the Pacific Northwest. Visit this beautiful part of the country and discover why and how small farmers are making a comeback. It’s no secret that small farms are in plight and have struggled for decades against big corporate food suppliers — it will be a refreshing and uplifting change to learn about communities that are supporting their local farms and being richly rewarded for doing so. It’s clearly a win-win situation for everyone that will hopefully inspire all of us to make some important changes in our eating and shopping habits.
Don’t miss our special screening of Good Food at Life Alive Cafe right in downtown Lowell. Stay tuned for details on dates and times of the entire film series, which will also include screenings of Fresh and the award-winning documentary short, Fridays at the Farm.
For now, enjoy a taste of Good Food ….
