His latest, award-winning short, Nether World: A Modern Fairy Tale, celebrated its premier in March 2009 at Lowell’s United Teen Equality Center (UTEC) to a standing room only crowd. Incorporating a stage/musical reenactment of key scenes of the film, the event captured the exotic textures of Higgins’ cloaked figures and moonlit shadows.
