We blogged about it last month, but waited a bit to post an official trailer as we needed to be sure the clips that were out there were the real deal. Turns out, they were. This is the reel that’s already making the rounds in movie theaters (we saw it this weekend during our viewings of Machete and The Town), so keep your eyes peeled if you’re hittin’ the cinemas in the weeks ahead. In case you’re not aware, The Fighter, a biopic centered on Lowell native and boxer Micky Ward and his half-brother and trainer Dicky Ecklund, was filmed entirely in Lowell. The Mill City’s own beloved blogger Dick Howe (RichardHowe.com) posted this same trailer on September 16 and pointed out some great recognizable locations.
